Explore Women’s Efforts Toward Just Peace in the Holy Land

of Catholic Theological Union and the Gros Institute at ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â are hosting an interreligious conversation with two influential Palestinian voices who can share how women individually and collectively foster peacebuilding efforts in the Holy Land from 7-8:30 p.m. October 8 at ÁùºÏ²Ê¿â in Romeoville.

“Exploring the Contributions of Women toward Peace, Dignity, and Justice in the Holy Land” will feature Drs. Rima Salah and Eman Abdelhadi. The guest speakers will address the past, present, and future of women's empowerment, peacebuilding, and the pursuit of justice and dignity in the Holy Land.

Dr. Salah (Catholic) formerly worked with UNICEF and the United Nations. As an assistant clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine, she advocates for the rights of children and women in armed conflict and post-conflict situations.

Dr. Abdelhadi (Muslim) is an assistant professor of Comparative Human Development at the University of Chicago. Her research explores the various ways religion can influence everyday life from multiple perspectives.
